Pokémon GO, it’s been downloaded over 1 billion times and yet no-one has played it outside the mobile screen, until now. We set Pokémon free on a battleground 10,000% larger than your average phone and out of this world.

For the games first in-person event since lockdown we created the ultimate reason to take to the streets and join forces – to save planet Earth.

All day the players gathered in the knowledge that the Ultra Beast was coming. Thousands of players worked together using the app to defeat the invaders and save our planet. They saw their efforts play out larger than life in front of them and they weren’t alone. Fans from all over the world joined the battle remotely and watched on our live stream. When each Ultra Beast was defeated, the players got the coveted Pokémon, adding it to their collection and moralising the event forever.
